While there are many printers throughout the country that print postcards, few have the ability to create well thought out, marketing driven direct mail programs that deliver results. From initial marketing concept through final mailing, Dynamail Marketing knows how to use direct mail to increase your revenues and visibility.

You talk. We listen.

Before we ever begin a design, we take the time to learn everything we can about your business. We want to know about your goals, your clients, and your competition. In the initial planning stages, we ask you to send us as much information as you can about your company and your industry. The more you tell us at this point, the more successful your advertising program is likely to be.

Once we have analyzed this material, we will propose a marketing approach that will help you achieve your objectives.

Estimate

After we've determined what needs to be produced, we will provide you with an estimate detailing the costs involved for all recommended projects. Dynamail Marketing takes pride in finishing most projects at the prices quoted in the initial estimate.

In fact, for residential mailings, we have a price list for all postcard projects that includes design, printing, demographic mailing list and postage. For business-to-business mailings our prices are inclusive of all costs except the mailing list where prices are highly variable. This means your price is locked in regardless of how complicated the project becomes, or how much time we take in the creative process.

While the vast majority of projects go through as quoted, some possible reasons for additional costs include:

Tell us to get started!

Once you're happy with our advice and our prices, all you have to do is say GO! No contracts to sign. No pre-payment. Believe it or not, we still operate on a handshake signifying our trust and desire to engage in a long-term relationship.

After many years in business and thousands of satisfied clients, we are confident that we will exceed your expectations with the work we create for you. But if for some reason you don't like what we come up with, just tell us what you don't like and we'll try again until you are completely satisfied. Remember, we consider ourselves your marketing partner and we welcome feedback from our clients so we can create the best possible product.

Proofs, Approval and your responsibilities

Once the design is finalized, you'll get a layout via e-mail or a set of black and white laser proofs. In some cases, color proofs of various types will be provided.
Please initial and date each page and return them to us, along with the
completed Proof Approval Form.

In order to view the form you will need Adobe Acrobat reader. To download it for free click here.

Some things to know about proofs

Laser proofs are output from the computer to a black & white laser printer. They are accurate for type and artwork position and general appearance. They shouldn't be used to judge photos, colors and gray shades.

For most simple projects, laser proofs are all that is needed.

Ink jet and dye sublimination proofs are also computer generated and will show colors and photos more accurately. These are medium grade proofs and will give a very good general idea of the final result, but they are not for critical applications.

Iris proofs or the equivalent are the most accurate proofs and can be used for color checking. However, any changes made at this stage may incur additional charges.

In practical terms, 90% of our projects proceed via e-mail with only Adobe Acrobat (pdf) files for proofs. Our technical system is such that pleasing color is almost always assured. In many cases, these time consuming hard copy proofs can be skipped.

Please remember that approval on a proof means that you want to print the job just as the proof looks in terms of layout, type and position. You are telling us that you've read the material and it's all accurate and presented to your satisfaction.

This is when "bugs" creep in where you least expect them!

When you read your own material that you've read a thousand times before, there's a tendency to "see" the correct material even though there is a mistake on the page. Some areas to check especially carefully are:

One last point about proofs. They are just that. Proofs. They're not the finished product. They represent varying degrees of accuracy that are generally accepted in the industry. We'll help you evaluate each proof that's necessary, and we'll tell you what to look for.

Payment Options

Most projects consist of design/printing and mailing functions. For these projects, a 50% deposit is required at the time the proofs are approved and the balance is due 10 days prior to mailing. If you are printing a large quantity of postcards and mailing them out on a weekly or monthly basis, special payments terms can be arranged.

For design and print projects, payment is due at the time of final approval.

Cancellation

If you decide to stop or hold the project after a significant amount of design work has been done, there is a charge of $500 plus any production expenses that have been incurred. Of course, this is fully credited when the project is resumed.
